Tubular Prism Coatings to be unveiled at Dupont Makers Festival

Using the theories behind Salvador Dali’s Alice Cooper Hologram,

Innate Technologies and Cara Guitars have created a powerful light amplifying rainbow effect coating using sprayable tubular prisms. The refractive index varies with the wavelength or color of the light used, a phenomenon known as dispersion. This causes light of different colors to be refracted differently and to leave the prism at different angles, creating an effect similar to a rainbow.

Unlike previous Chameleon colors or standard Metalflake, these sprayable coatings are actual 1/4″ Long tubular prisms distributed in random patterns using the same technology as Sand Blasting.

The applied finish will be debut at the Dupont Makers Festival at Hagley Museum on April 29
